In light of ongoing geopolitical developments across the Middle East, Cargo Plan International LLC wishes to inform our customers of the implementation of an Emergency Conflict Surcharge (ECS) applicable to affected trade lanes.
To ensure continued service operations and safeguard our crew, vessels, and cargo, an ECS will be applied to all bookings issued on or after March 2, 2026, until further notice. This surcharge also applies to cargo that has already been shipped but is bound for the affected regions.
USD 2,000 per 20’ Dry Container
USD 3,000 per 40’ Dry Container
USD 4,000 per Reefer or Special Equipment
📍 Scope:
From or to Iraq, Bahrain, Kuwait, Yemen, Qatar, Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt (Port of Ain Sokhna), Djibouti, Sudan, Eritrea.
The surcharge applies to bookings issued on or after March 2, 2026, including cargo not yet shipped and cargo already afloat bound for the affected countries.
This measure is being implemented to ensure operational continuity and safeguard crew, vessels, and cargo amid the evolving regional situation.
